The 12 Drills of Christmas started with a simple idea: to create something that would bring a little more fun, laughter and Christmas spirit to agility training. It’s part training book, part Christmas gift, and part festive agility experience.
Inside you'll find 12 completely different festive training setups, each featuring a Main Course and a Second Helping. That means 24 different agility challenges, with no need to rebuild the equipment between the two exercises.
But this isn't just a collection of course maps.
Every drill has its own Christmas theme, coaching points, Ingredients and Secret Santa's Tips, with plenty of little jokes, hidden details and festive surprises to discover along the way.
From Last-Minute Shopping and Under the Mistletoe to Tangled in Tinsel, Santa's Sack and Christmas Cracker, each section has been designed to be as enjoyable to explore as it is to train.
Serious training... not so serious Christmas!
Underneath all the festive fun is proper agility training.
You'll work on handling choices, independence, verbal understanding, backside and threadle skills, obstacle discrimination, commitment, collection, extension and much more.
The layouts are adaptable too. Train the complete sequences, break them into smaller sections, explore different handling options or adjust them to suit the space and experience of you and your dog.
The aim isn't simply to get around a course.
It's to train, experiment, learn and enjoy your dog... and the festive season!

This was important to me.
I wanted to create a book you could throw in your training bag and genuinely use throughout the festive season, but also one you'd happily pick up at home with a coffee, flick through and find something you'd missed the first time.
There are little Christmas treats hidden throughout the book, plenty of agility in-jokes and probably a few things that will make far more sense to agility people than anyone else.
It's a training book, a Christmas book and, hopefully, something that simply makes you smile.
